It’s OK That I Learn Differently Conference

April 28th, 2016

Hello!

On April 12th, 2016, NOARC hosted their 8th annual Creating Exceptional Learners (CEL) conference – It’s OK That I Learn Differently!

The conference was offered to students enrolled in NOARC’s CEL program at MacLeod and Churchill Public Schools.

Students were given a presentation discussing current apps and technologies available to assist with learning challenges.  They also participated in a workshop that helped them discover their specific learning style.

Parents in attendance were provided the opportunity to try several of the assistive technologies used by children in the classroom.

The night ended with a raffle for prizes – the two Google Chromebooks were a huge hit!

Participants described the conference as “interesting”, “informative” and “excellent”.  We’re already looking forward to next year’s conference!

Cheers,

Brandon
